Midden

Noun

  • A dungheap.
  • A refuse heap usually near a dwelling.
  • prehistoric pile of bones and shells.

Used in a sentence:

  • “You, sir, are a midden, excreted from the anus of a corpse of a carrion bird left out to bake on the side of the road after a particularly long rain shower who died from worms contracted from the meal it ate just previous to kicking the bucket!”

Commentary:

Following last weeks’ word about smelly things, we have midden! I think midden is ripe for revival into mainstream American english as an insult. We can use it to claim someone is stinky, or old, or go all the way, like I did in my sentence. Since it isn’t like any other real insulting word in the modern lexicon it can slip right past your opponent’s defenses!
