- (of water) salty or slightly salty, as a mixture of fresh and sea water, such as that found in estuaries
- distasteful; unpleasant; not appealing to the taste.
Used in a sentence:
- It was brackish, the filet, which according to one companion had a primary ingredient donated from a three eyed and yellow-skinned fish.
Writing the sentence for this word was kind of hard. Not sure why. I guess because I’ve only ever heard the word used in conjunction with water and learning it could be used elsewhere meant stretching my literary muscles? Either way this is another word that sounds as negative as it means. The syllable ”ack” definitely helps with that, I believe.
