Today is Shigeru Miyamoto’s birthday, assuming you adjust for time zones. He was the creator of some of the most well-known video games in existence, namely Donkey Kong, Super Mario Brothers, and the Legend of Zelda, and perhaps one of the most influential people in the world. These games have touched so many generations and some of the first people to be touched by these games are now starting to share that with their own children. I am very glad for both the messages and entertainment he produced for us.

A video showing you how you can beat Super Mario Bros. in exactly 600 points without dying. The dance of the hammer bros. is particularly impressive.

What I think would be really interesting is if someone could create an engine that translated videos of a play through of Super Mario Brothers and translated it into a FPS 3D world like the above video.
