So people who haven’t sat through the awesomeness that is Desert Bus won’t get a lot of what this is about. Also knowing the crew members of Loading Ready Run helps. So really, this video is just one big inside joke for fans of Desert Bus & Loading Ready Run but it is still hilarious so I must share.
I really wasn’t expecting to find anyone willing to positively review this film. The fact that Movie Bob was willing to eat crow makes this a much watch for me, personally. I was willing to set aside my adult higher brain functionality to let my inner ten-year old run wild at this movie but it looks like both inner and outer parts of me are going to get a treat.
Hehe. Nunchucks and Skateboards. I love callbacks.
One I find it hilarious that a Canadians are making jokes about North and South Dakota being one state. Two I now have a legitimate reason to go kick the ass of anybody who does have those truck balls on their trucks and drives around in my state. Nobody teabags Texas! Thirdly the idea of old people having sex on a yoga ball confuses me. Does it confuse you too?
Okay Graham’s reaction to the phones had me in stitches. That was hilarious.
Also with Feed Dump, and now this, I’m worried LRR is going hat crazy.
I’ve always thought it kind of weird that when shows or comics on The Escapist retire, they just seem to disappear. Perhaps the following article detailing some of the reasons why Extra Credits, one of my favorite shows on The Escapist, will no longer be airing there.
Ultimately I think this comes down to the fact that money is evil and money makes the world go around. I would just like to see James Portnow and his friends continue to talk about games from a development perspective be it on YouTube, The Escapist, or some other website. Still I am sorry to see all of this happening.
James figured out what the question mark was!!! It makes so much more sense now!
Also I do think there is a conspiracy to block all of Graham’s primate related stories. Good work guys!
Awhile back Deep Silver released a stunning trailer for a video game called Dead Island. I wrote a post about it and speculated on the style of game it might be. I mentioned that “This might be the game I’ve been waiting for since I first saw Dead Rising.”
Well today I now know that is true.
If you watch the video, I highly suggest it in HD.
The game looks excessively gory but that doesn’t bother me. It is also taking what is growing to be some of the more standard zombie game tropes, such as specialized zombies that explode and such, which is also fine. It is not survival horror, as the core gameplay appears to be focused on combat and not survival and/or exploration, but the combat has survival elements, such as depleting weapon endurance and a stamina system.
4-player drop in/out co-op sounds very intriguing and some of the integrated story/gameplay elements, such as the character dialog and weather/location changing. Definitely a hint that time was taken to figure out the story, rather than just planting quest givers and create the next type of zombie for you to fight. Interface looks a little busy and the context buttons for everything will be distracting. Hopefully that will get cleaned up.
Overall I am heartened. This looks like it will be an awesome game. Perhaps not as perfect as I’d hoped it be but still has plenty of elements to make it utterly awesome.
Another trailer for Deus Ex: Human Revolution. This time a “in world” advertisement for the corporation that invents human augmentation, Sarif Industries.
Damnit! This was my first ring around the tub, though.
